Canadian Police College modernizes Intelligence Analysis Curriculum with new Foundational Intelligence Analysis course
Beginning fall 2026, the Canadian Police College (CPC) will begin transitioning to the new Foundational Intelligence Analysis Course (FIAC) as a first step to modernizing the current Intelligence Analysis Curriculum (IAC). This transition will offer a broader curriculum for junior, intermediate, and senior intelligence analysts following a multi-tiered structure of foundational, advanced and specialized streams.
The FIAC combines self-directed e-learning modules with intensive in-class training to build the core competencies of an intelligence analyst. Through this blended format, course participants will learn to apply structured analytical techniques, evaluate, and validate information, as well as communicate their analytical findings effectively; enabling participants to produce timely and actionable intelligence products that support operations and inform decision-making at all levels.
For more information, such as available sessions, prerequisites, etc., participants can visit the Foundational Intelligence Analysis Course.
