Recognition
Brian Escamilla as co-instructor at the CPC
The hazards associated with investigating clandestine laboratories have increased the risk of injury to first responders, law enforcement, and the public in recent years. Highly toxic opioids, dangerous reagents, changes in synthesis trends, and other challenges require the training of staff to remain current and competent in the delivery of the training material.
It was an honor to co-instruct the most recent Site Safety Supervisor Course at the Canadian Police College (CPC) in Ottawa. The CPC is recognized globally as the leader in clandestine laboratory training for law enforcement. As President of NES/NCC Training, I had the privilege of instructing with some of the most experienced and educated professionals in the field. Alongside these personnel, I was able to assist with training the next generation of officers who must manage the current threats posed to personnel investigating clandestine laboratories.
The collaborative environment and resources at the CPC provide the ideal setting to advance policing capabilities and strengthen global efforts to fight narcotic activity.
I am proud to have participated in CPC's mission to enhance the skills and knowledge of law enforcement personnel and to have been granted the distinction of instructing at one of the premier training facilities worldwide. NES/NCC established the clandestine laboratory training program for the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and set the standard for clandestine laboratory training in the United States. I look forward to future opportunities where NES/NCC can support the CPC in providing specialized hazmat training to highly skilled law enforcement personnel.
Thank you again for this prestigious opportunity.
